AWF iSO LIFT Competition

You can still compete during the COVID-19 restrictions!

The VWA is pleased to support and promote the AWF's online competition iSO LIFT.

iSO LIFT provides the opportunity for AWF members to compete in a national tournament from home, provided they have the correct equipment - participants simply record their weigh-in and lifts, then register and upload the videos at the iSO LIFT page on the AWF website. It allows athletes a break from the monotony of home training and isolation and a touch of competition to fuel training while we wait for lockdowns associated with COVID-19 to be removed.

The online competition is open to both males and females in all current age categories. The competition ranking will be based on the Sinclair Formula. The Meltzer-Faber age formula will also be applied in the Masters age group.

Competition date: 1st May – 31st May 2020

Entry fee: $10 per participant.

You can enter at the following link.

The conditions of the online competition can be located on the AWF news page. Key conditions are as follows:

  • Weigh in evidence required (no more than 2 hours before the snatch attempt)
  • One snatch and one clean and jerk attempt to be submitted (no more than 40 mins elapsing between snatch and clean and jerk)
  • Lifting suit or training attire to be worn - elbows must be exposed
  • Video from directly in front of athlete
  • No straps allowed

We look forward to seeing great results from all participants, especially Victorians!

Please note that you must be an Athlete member of the VWA to compete in this event.

If you wish to enter and are yet to register your VWA membership for 2020 you can do so here.

Each video may take a few minutes to upload, depending on your connection speed. There is a tutorial video on how to enter and record and upload videos of your weigh in and lifts on the AWF news page link above.

Good luck to everyone!
